Abstract :
a device is designed to produce electricity that can be independently produced by utilizing
energy from nature, namely the sun and wind which will be connected to the PLN network.
Photovoltaics and windmills are used as a source of electricity for energy sources obtained
from the sun and wind. The energy produced from photovoltaic and wind turbines is
optimized by connecting the two sources with a multi-input single output buck converter that
regulates photovoltaic and the windmill works at maximum power. For this reason, a control
method is needed that is able to regulate the work of PV and wind turbines so that it works at
optimal power. In this research a hybrid photovoltaic and windmill generator system was
designed, which has high efficiency with local content of more than 40%. The purpose of this
research is the utilization of solar and wind energy as an alternative energy source to increase
the production of renewable energy in the context of energy self-sufficiency in Bengkalis
Regency. The method of solving this problem is how to design a hybrid electric power plant
that uses photovoltaic tools and windmills that have high efficiency with local content of
more than 40% and can analyze electricity energy data generated from the hybrid power
plant. After conducting the research, several conclusions are obtained at the end of the
writing including the following: First photovoltaic capacities use 50 WP. Second, the battery
requirement is 17,167 Ah batteries that will be used 35Ah. Third, charging the battery is done
by using 2 generators simultaneously with the average voltage when the battery is full is 12.5
volts and the accuracy of the battery capacity is 76.69%. Fourth, battery charging by using
windmills cannot be maximal due to unstable wind speeds.
