ABSTRACT
Fire is one of the tragedies that cannot be predicted, in addition to being unwanted by society, large fires are often uncontrollable. Fire events caused by natural, non-natural or human factors themselves can pose a great threat and risk to the loss of life and community livelihoods, causing fatalities, environmental damage, property losses, and psychological impacts. Geographically, densely populated urban areas are fire-prone areas that endanger and disrupt people's lives and livelihoods. Fire is classified as a form of disaster. Given the impact, it is necessary to have a fire detector that can be used to detect fires in the house and reduce the impact. This study aims to design and build a fire detection device, the system to be built uses a flame sensor that functions to detect the presence of fire, an MQ-2 sensor to detect smoke, a buzzer that functions as an alarm using the NodeMCU ESP8266 microcontroller as a controller and also output data from sensors that can send notifications to the firedetection bot on telegram to mobile users.
