Abstract :
This study was conducted to determine the financial performance of Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) tbk and Bank Mandiri (Persero) tbk by using a profitability ratio consisting of Gross Profit Margin (GPM), Net Profit Margin (NPM), Return on Investment (ROI), Return On Equity (ROE), Return on Assets (ROA) from 2015-2020. The type of data used in this study is quantitative data with a quantitative descriptive approach. The data collection method in this study uses secondary data from financial reports on the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) and is supported by data sourced from each of the official websites of the two banks. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion of the financial performance of Bank Rakyat Indonesia and Bank Mandiri which was measured using GPM, NPM, ROE, and ROA, the bank's financial performance was very good, good and adequate, while the financial performance measured using ROI showed a very unhealthy condition. This can be seen from the average calculation for 6 years for GPM, NPM, ROE, and ROA that have met the standard level of financial ratio assessment while ROI is below the standard level of financial ratio assessment. Overall, the bank's financial performance in terms of profitability ratios is at a good level.
