Abstract :
This final project research report aims to determine the application of safety management in order to reduce the risk of work accidents on the KMP ship. Swarna Putri and to find out what are the obstacles that exist in the implementation of the safety management system on board. The method used for data collection is the method of observation carried out in the field directly, the method of interviews or interviews addressed to related parties in the process of implementing the safety management system, as well as the literature study method used by researchers to collect data from various sources. The place of this research was carried out at PT. The Nusantara Bridge that I carried out from February to July 2022. The result of this research is KMP. Swarna Putri has a safety management system that has met the ISM Code standard and is running well, this can be proven from the completeness of the facilities and safety equipment used to support performance on the ship and reduce the risk of work accidents on the ship
