Abstract :
Bearing is part of a machine element made of metal that serves to reduce the rotation between the shaft and the housing or vice versa. So in the manufacture of this final task tool aims to 1). Simplify bearing heating device and save cost. 2). heat energy of the halogen lamp so that the bearing can be installed easily and without damaging the bearing components. 3). the occurrence of damage during installation of the bearing and shaft surfaces. One method of installing bearings is heating. An efficient, modern, safe and easy to use bearing heating system is to use a halogen lamp heating system. While the bearing heating temperature must be calculated using a predetermined formula if the bearing temperature has reached the heating temperature value, then the process of stopping and installing the bearing to the shaft can be carried out. Based on the test results, it can be concluded that the bearing can be heated by the heating system halogen lamp made in this final project. The heater can be operated and the bearing heater is able to operate, expand the bearing according to the heat of the halogen lamp, then the dimmer serves to adjust the lamp description according to its use. After being heated, and the bearing expands then the bearing can be inserted into its axis without mechanical means or blows.
