Abstract :
With the existence of a steel ship that is used as a fire fighting ship, especially with a multifunctional ship 1 built by a mini shipyard belonging to the Department of Shipping Engineering at the Bengkalis State Polytechnic in supporting the activities, transportation of fire engines. This makes the ship's maneuverability very important, especially in the design and construction steering wheel. Proposal writing This final project aims to provide training and skills in determining the dimensions and design of the ship's steering wheel in a simple way as a learning medium so that it operates and is equipped with calculations, designs and manufactures that are in accordance with the rules for students, especially the Department of Marine Engineering Polytechnic Bengkalis Country
