Abstract :
This final project research aims to reveal how container loading and unloading operations are carried out at the Sri Bayintan Kijang port of PT Pelindo (Persero) Regional 1 Tanjungpinang Branch, Riau Islands. in terms of effectiveness, and factors inhibiting its smoothness. The formulation of the problem in this final project is how the effectiveness of the implementation of loading and unloading containers at the port of Sri Bayintan Kijang PT Pelindo (Persero) Regional 1 Tanjungpinang Branch, Riau Islands. What are the factors that hinder the smooth operation of loading and unloading containers at the Sri Bayintan Port of PT Pelindo (Persero) Regional 1 Tanjungpinang Branch, Riau Islands. The method used for data collection is the method of observation carried out in the field directly and the method of interview or interview. The results of the research are the effectiveness of loading and unloading of containers in the field, there is a buildup caused by the lack of warehouse capacity that cannot accommodate the number of containers that descend from the ship to pile up in the warehouse. The availability of the fleet is lacking and the delivery of containers is not in accordance with the demands of the warehouse, the location of the warehouse is far from the port.
