Abstract :
Pneumatic and PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) is an important unit in the
Electrical Engineering department, because it is a teaching material for students.
Its applications are very common in industry and in public places such as automatic
gates, goods distribution systems and packaging. In carrying out the practicum, the
application of pneumatic and PLC systems is still not extensive, this is due to the
lack of practicum modules for pneumatic and PLC systems. Learning about how to
work on pneumatic and PLC is very important because the pneumatic and PLC
work systems will very often be found in the industrial world and as a provision
when plunging into the world of work and when carrying out Field Work Practices.
The purpose of this study is to design a practicum module to understand the
workings of pneumatics and PLC, to drive pneumatic air supply must be given then
the valve regulates the entry and exit of air to move the cylinder. Proximity sensor
functions as an object detection input to activate pneumatic 1 and pneumatic 2, the
object will move through conveyor 1 to proximity sensor 2 then pneumatic 3 will
push the object to conveyor 2. During final testing, when the counter counts object
1 time the object takes from the first conveyor to the box is 6.41s, with the average
time of the object reaching the 7.18s box
