Abstract :
This study aims to determine the behavior of using Polynex HE in concrete mixes. Whereas from the other side the results of concrete work with high quality fas (cement water factor) must be low or the amount of water is small so that workability is difficult. The resulting concrete will also experience air voids even though the concrete has been compacted. For this reason, additional materials are needed, one of which is Polynex HE. The method used in this test is to make a concrete mixture using SNI 7656: 2012 with Polynex HE as an added ingredient in the concrete mix by 1% and reducing the amount of water by 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20% of the amount of water used from normal concrete. Concrete treated for 3 days and 28 days was then tested to obtain the value of compressive strength, unit weight of the concrete. The parameters to be obtained in this study are slump, unit weight and compressive strength of concrete The effect of reducing the amount of water in the concrete added by Polinex HE to the slump value can increase the slump value. Based on the concrete compressive strength test that has been carried out, it was found that at the age of 28 days, in general, the quality of the concrete added by Polynex HE and reduced water was greater than that of normal concrete. The concrete unit weight obtained from the results added by Polynex HE has a greater weight than the normal concrete unit weight, where the concrete unit weight ranges from 2316.38 kg/m3 to 2401.45 kg/m3.
