Relationship between Knowledge Level and Use of MKJP (Long-Term
Contraceptive Method) at Grabag Health Center, Purworejo Regency in
2022

ABSTRACT
Background: The increase in the number of people in Indonesia from 2019 to
2020 is 0.98%. An effective and efficient contraceptive method to prevent rapid
population growth is the long-term contraceptive method (MKJP). The
coverage of MKJP in Purworejo Regency is 8,393 people from 110,136 PUS or
7.6%. In a preliminary study at UPT Puskesmas Grabag Purworejo in JuneJuly 2021 the number of MKJP IUDs was 834 (11.5%), Implants were 887
(12.2%). From interviews with 10 women of childbearing age, 3 used MKJP.
Objective: To find out the relationship between knowledge level and the use of
MKJP (Long-Term Contraceptive Method) at the Grabag Health Center,
Purworejo Regency in 2021.
Methods: The type of research used was quantitative observational. With a
cross sectional. The population in this study were women of childbearing age
who had a legal partner at the Grabag Health Center in 2021 with a sample of
278 people. Sampling using purposive sampling. Sample selection using
inclusion and exclusion criteria. The research instrument used a questionnaire.
Data analysis used univariate analysis, bivariate analysis, and chi square.
Results: The majority of respondents have a good level of knowledge as many
as 119 respondents (44.1%). Based on the chi square analysis,the variable level
of knowledge has a significant relationship to the use of MKJP. The p value is
0.000 (<0.005)
Conclusion: A good level of knowledge can increase the use of MKJP.
