Abstract :
This study aims to examine the profitability and market performance of banking companies before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. In this study, profitability performance is measured using Return On Assets (ROA) and market performance is measured using stock prices. The population in this study includes banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) and the sampling method was determined by purposive sampling method. The research data used is quarterly financial reports for 2018-2022 from 5 banking companies with a total sample of 40 data before Covid-19 and 40 data during Covid-19. The analytical method in this study used a different test with the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test which was processed using IBM SPSS version 25. The results showed that there were differences in Return On Assets (ROA) and Stock Prices in banking companies before and during the Covid-19 pandemic.
