Abstract :
This study aims to determine whether profitability, leverage, operating capacity, and liquidity affect financial distress with company size as a moderating variable in transportation sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2019-2021. The population contained in this study were 51 companies and a sample of 17 companies. The sampling technique was carried out by purposive sampling method using certain criteria. This research data processing uses SPSS version 26 software using multiple linear regression analysis techniques and moderated regression analysis (MRA). The results of this study indicate that profitability, leverage, and operating capacity have no effect on financial distress and liquidity affects financial distress. Then, company size cannot moderate the effect of profitability and leverage on financial distress, and company size can moderate the effect of operating capacity and liquidity on financial distress.
