Abstract :
IDG Air/Oil Cooler is a component in the IDG oil system which functions to cool oil sourced from IDG by utilizing a fan air. This component often fails and is unpredictable so it is at risk when carrying out flight operations. For this reason, it is necessary to carry out an analysis of the causes of failures that occur, optimal maintenance programs, and reliability. The method used for analysis is the Power Law Process (PLP) which can determine the Rate of Occurrence of Failure (ROCOF) and its relationship can beknown by the Mean Time to Failure (MTTF) and the maintenance time policy that can be recommended. This study shows that the IDG Air/Oil Cooler on Garuda Indonesia's Boeing737-800 aircraft is known that ROCOF is included in the Increasing Failure Rate(IFR) form with an increasing failure rate over time so that preventive maintenance is recommended. IDG Air/Oil Cooler has a critical operation of up to 8180.228022flight hours where the ability of the IDG Air/Oil Cooler to operate normally continuously until it fails decreases over time with a maintenance interval policy of 5000 flight hours.
