Abstract :
Cilacap City is one of the areas with rapid development, especially in the
economic sector, tourism sector, industrial sector, fisheries sector, and plantation
sector every year. With this, it is necessary to have transportation that has speed to
support this development. The only air transportation base in the city of Ciacap at
the moment is Tunggul Wulung Airport with Class III status. Due to the high
demand for air transportation and interest in this transportation increasing every
year, it is necessary to conduct a study on the height control of a building and to
determine potential hazards resulting from incidents or problem findings during
flight operations at the Tunggul Wulung Airport.
The method of depicting the flight operation safety area (KKOP) in this thesis
is to use the overlay method by taking a piece of the surface image around the
airport via Google Earth at a height of 2 km which is then overlayed on the Flight
Operations Safety Area (KKOP) image made according to the scale determined on
corel draw X5. While the method used to determine potential hazards related to
obstacles is to use the FMEA (Failure Mode Effect Analysis) method, which is to
determine the RPN value from the multiplication of Sverity, Occurrence, and
Detectability.
The results of the data processing are information about which areas are
included in the flight operation safety area (KKOP) around the Tunggul Wulung
Cilacap Airport and can find out the Criticality level of potential hazards resulting
from findings or events during flight operations related to obstacles, namely from
2017 -2019. This research can be an input for the government in development
planning and city layout as well as input for airport authorities to further improve
security and safety during flight operations.
