Abstract :
Tanjung Api Ampana Airport is an airport that is quite dense in terms of
service levels for the flow of passengers and goods used for flights to various areas in
the city of Ampana - Palu - Makasar. With the need for dense flight operations, the
allowable capacity of the aircraft load capacity and the strength of the runway in
accepting the loading of aircraft during takeoff and landing. So this research is
ensured on the basis of flight safety, the maximum allowed weight of the aircraft does
not exceed the capacity of the runway strength at Tanjung Api Ampana Airport using
the ACN - PCN calculation and the ARFL method.
The methods used are the ACN-PCN method and the ARFL method. The
results show the relationship between aircraft take-off weight, PCN, and runway
length. In the analysis of the maximum operational weight that is limited by PCN, it
obtains the maximum value allowed at the airport with runway strength limitations
according to the type and type of aircraft and additional studies by analyzing aircraft
that can land at Tanjung Api Ampana Airport.
The results of the runway strength analysis obtained on all types and types of
aircraft according to operational flights at Tanjung Api Ampana Airport can use the
values specified in the Jeppesen ACN Table. And based on the analysis, the length of
the runway for planes landing at Tanjung Api Ampana Airport must be extended by
around 952 m. So that these types of aircraft can take off and land safety.
