Abstract :
As an effort to develop air facilities at (Aviation Technology Research Center)
PRTP, it is necessary to develop runway, taxiway and apron geometries as well as
navigation equipment. This development is used as support in the cooperation
program between PRTP and the Indonesian Air Force to procure C 130 J-30 Super
Hercules aircraft.
The analysis is carried out by measuring the existing runways, taxiways and
aprons and looking at the condition of the navigation equipment. The research was
continued by calculating the geometry of the runway, taxiway and apron needed to
be able to bring in the C 130 J-30 Super Hercules aircraft using the Annex 14 2018
standard. Comparisons were made by looking at the calculations with the existing
conditions so that they could be used for the PRTP development plan.
The results obtained after measurements and comparisons are that the length
of the runway needs to be added by 906 m, while the taxiway does not need to be
added, and the apron needs an additional area of 2,930.725 m². Visually, the
condition of the runway is very apprehensive with some damage to the markings,
the taxiway section is poorly maintained with tall grass that lights up, while the
apron section is still fit for use. Planning also needs to be done with the addition of
navigation equipment that previously did not exist at all.
