Abstract :
The lycoming engine piper pa28-161 controlled by fadec (full authority
digital engine control) has four cylinders, in-line dohc (double over head camshaf)
with the work of intakes, comprrezion; Exhaust, power, and exhaust. The damage
that results in the plane's down of RPM (revolution per minute) carburetor,
carburetor heat switch, carburetor air filter, magneto, Igniter plug, resulting in
both incident and occurrence so as to cause casualties, it is best to decelerate the
revolution per minute and establish the cause of the decline.
This study tested several components including Carburetor, Carburetor
Heat Switch, Carburetor Air Filter, Magneto, Igniter Plug and analyzed using the
Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) method which means the
method with two analyses which is the analysis of Failure mode and effect analisys
(FMEA) and criticality analysis (CA), this FMEA is done by means of identifying
potential failure, for CA to be done by calculating the results of the FMEA testing.
The result of an analysis was the result of a fmea test of the highest value
and the often associated component of carburetor heat switch with RPN value 320,
and the lowest ca test results were carburetor air filter with 48,9216 in the rankings
and the highest ca value being carburetor with an 255,5904. These components
should be prioritized in treatment because they are at very high risk.
