Abstract :
The ATR 72-500 aircraft is a narrow body aircraft, this aircraft is
smaller and has fewer passengers than the wide body aircraft type, generally
used for medium-haul flights with an average altitude of 12,000 feet to 16,000
feet. In this case, flight planning with special techniques is required,
especially with flight routes that have mountainous contours such as the
Pontianak to Samarinda route. For flights from Pontianak to Samarinda or
Samarinda to Pontianak, flight planning is required by determining Check
Points based on the coordinates of the two routes, to avoid hilly contours
along the flight path. Then analyze the flight plan for the Pontianak Samarinda route with variations in altitude of 13,500 feet and 15,500 feet, as
well as the Samarinda-Pontianak route with variations in altitude of 14,500
feet and 16,500 feet. Based on the flight planning calculations above, the load
capacity for the Pontianak-Samarinda route flight at an altitude of 13,500 feet
can carry 64 passengers and 78 kg of cargo, and at an altitude of 15,500 feet
the plane can carry 64 passengers and 75 kg of cargo. Then the Samarinda Pontianak route at an altitude of 14,500 feet the plane can carry 67
passengers and 10 kg of cargo, and at an altitude of 16,500 feet the plane can
carry 64 passengers and 76 kg of cargo.
