Abstract :
In flight conditions and the aircraft experiences one engine failure in the Sumatra area, the
aircraft can still continue the flight with the condition that the altitude is lowered according to the
altitude rules, which is known that the Sumatran area stretches from the hills of the highlands
with the routes to be followed are the Binaka ?Rembele, Binaka ? Sisingamangaraja XII routes.
, and Sisingamangaraja XII ?Rembele, flights must consider safety aspects by calculating route
plotting charts, calculating flight load capacity, and calculating point of no return (PNR) and
point of equal time (PET) as critical points during flights.
The method used in this study is to calculate the plotting chart for each route,
calculate the time and fuel needed according to FCOM ATR 72-500, calculate flight load
capacity, calculate points of no return (PNR) and points of equal time (PET).
Variation The results show that the plotting chart on the flight route from
Gunungsitoli Nias to Central Aceh, Aceh with the Binaka - INUNA route (N 04° 30'
52.9? E 096° 31' 31?) ? Rembele, Flight from Gunungsitoli Nias to Silangit,
Sumatra North with the Binaka ? Sisingamangaraja XII route. Flight from Silangit,
North Sumatra to Central Aceh, Aceh with the route Sisingamangaraja XII - IRULA
(N 03° 48' 18" E 096 53' 38") - Rembele. With a flight load capacity on each route
of 6,900 kg and the Binaka to Rembele flight route, at an altitude of 10,500 feet
PNR 124 nm, 32 minutes, with PET 125.6 nm, 31 minutes and an altitude of 12,500
feet PNR 133 nm, 33 minutes, with PET 126.9 nm, 32 minutes. Flight route Binaka
to Sisingamngaraja XII, at an altitude of 9,000 PNR 56 nm, 15 minutes, with a 52.4
nm PET, 14 minutes and an altitude of 11,000 feet PNR 57 nm, 15 minutes with a
52 nm PET, 14 minutes. Sisingamangaraja XII flight route to Rembele, at an
altitude of 12,500 PNR 124 nm, 31 minutes, with a PET of 121.3 nm, 30 minutes,
and an altitude of 14,500 feet PNR 147 nm, 37 minutes, with a PET of 123.1 nm, 31
minutes.
