Abstract :
Technology in the field of radio communication that combines hardware and
software components, provides flexibility, upgradeability, and reduces hardware
complexity. The research objectives are to implement a Software Defined Radio
Transceiver with a Long Wire Dipole Antenna at a frequency of 14 MHz, and calibrate
the receiver and transmitter using the HDSDR application to get clear sound. The
method of collecting data from the sound of the Receiver and Transmitter on the
Software Defined Radio is used as active data for analysis in the research to be carried
out. The results showed that in testing the receiver and transmitter, several tests were
carried out to compare the results to get the optimal sound. Testing on the receiver
resulted in 3 successful statuses. While testing on the transmitter produces a frequency
of 14 MHz to do the test used. Based on this test, several sound sources were obtained
in the city of Semarang - Bandung.
