Abstract :
Manual material moving activities in industrial workmany risks as a cause of complaints such as muscle pain andwork accidents occur. Bangkit Bread Factory is still carrying out activitiesMMH Manual for Material Handling.Data collection was carried out using field studies and interviewsto workers to obtain the desired data. The data isworker posture data which includes the back, arms and legs forData processing was carried out using the Ovako Work Posture methodAnalysis System OWAS.The seven work stations observed were the dough making station,dough molding, dough steaming, drying, drying,frying, and packaging. There are 10 OWAS categories for eachstations and activities of each station. From this data, 3 were identifiedWorking posture is in category 1, which means it is not dangerous to the systemmusculoskeletal, no need for improvement, 3 work postures fall into category 2means it is dangerous for the musculoskeletal system, needs improvement in the futurecoming, 2 work postures are in category 3 which means they are dangerous to the systemmusculoskeletal, and 1 work posture is in category 4 which means veryharmful to the musculoskeletal system. Suggestions for improving working posture,6 work postures were identified, namely the dough making stationlifting raw materials, dough mixing, steaming stationlifting the dough into the steaming machine, arranging it in the containerdrying, drying station, frying station. Improvement recommendationsWhat you have to do is change your work posture and make suggestionsprovision of tools such as simple trolleys, tables and push shelves.
