Abstract :
Quality control is a management activity to measure quality characteristics and existing products, compare them with specifications or requirements, and take appropriate action if there is a difference between the actual appearance and standardization, as well as for PT. Sinar Semesta. A strategy that can guarantee quality is a strategy that is able to maintain process stability, so that it can be controlled for the purpose of minimizing defective products. In this study, the problem with Eq Spacing products was backgrounded. Where there are still many defective products found. The purpose of this study is to determine the quality control of Eq Spacing at PT. Sinar Semesta, and proposals that can be taken to overcome these problems with the Six Sigma method. This research uses the Six Sigma method which includes five stages of analysis, namely Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control. With quality control can be known. There are three types to There were three types of defects studied in January - June 2022, namely Cracks, namely the number of defects 199 with a percentage of defects of 28.84%, Flow Faults, namely the number of defects of 178 with a percentage of defects of 25.80%, Rat tails, namely the number of defects of 313 with a percentage of defects of 45 .36% with a cumulative percentage of 100.00%.
