Abstract :
IKM Mrs. Yessy is a company engaged in metal casting whose products include
pukis, apem, takoyaki, and egg molds. The problem that occurs in the company is that
there is a mismatch in the number of workers produced with the company's needs, so
that the production results are smaller than their production capacity. This study aims
to calculate the quantity of labor, the value of the company's material and labor
productivity, the value of the efficiency index, as well as the return to scale or
production scale, with the Cobb-Douglas production function approach.
The results showed that the quantity of labor in the production process of pukis,
apem, and takoyaki molds was 3 workers. While egg mold requires five workers.
Productivity values for pukis mold materials were 5.4, apem 5.7, takoyaki 4.8, and egg
molds 1.6 million rupiah. While the labor productivity for pukis molds was 28.5, apem
30.3, takoyaki 25.5, and egg molds 8.9 million rupiah. The efficiency index value of
the pukis mold production process was obtained at 5.222 apem of 3.990, takoyaki at
5.053, and egg mold at 1.630. The Return to Scale results for each product show a
value of 1, or the production process is in a constant return to scale condition where
an increase in input will produce the same output from the increase in input.
