Abstract :
In a pencak silat competition, there is something called a sparring
category, a sparring category is a pencak silat competition category featuring two
fighters, both of whom face each other to defend and attack, parry/evade/hit/attack
the target and knock the opponent down. The use of fighting tactics and techniques,
endurance stamina and fighting spirit using rules and patterns of steps that utilize
the wealth of stance techniques to get the most points. Based on the existing
problems, the researcher aims to build a decision support system for prospective
participants in the Merpati Putih pencak silat competition at ITD Adisutjipto by
applying the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. The purpose of making a
Decision Support System Application for Candidates for Merpati Putih Pencak
Silat Competition ITD Adisutjipto Yogyakarta is to make it easier and faster for
trainers to determine potential participants who are eligible to compete. The system
was tested using 2 tests, namely the manual calculation test and the results
suitability test. In the manual calculation test, which is carried out using the SAW
method equation, while the results suitability test is carried out by a match between
the data that appears on the system and manual calculation data, in testing the
suitability of the results, the system gets a conformity percentage of 100%. The user
test states that the average percentage index obtained is 80.4%, so it can be
concluded that the user strongly agrees that the use of the Decision Support System
application for Candidates for the Merpati Putih ITD Adisutjipto Pencak Silat
Competition is effective and feasible.
