Abstract :
This study aims to identify a safety work system against lightning strikes
on airplanes, the impact of lightning strikes on airplanes, components of lightning
strike protection on airplanes, and determine the application of The Rolling Sphere
Model for The Zoning method.
The Rolling Sphere Model for The Zoning method is one of the methods
commonly used to identify the security of an object from lightning strikes by experts.
This study discusses the grounding and bonding paths on aircraft, as well as
components placed on the outer surface of the aircraft for protection from lightning
strikes.
With the application of The Rolling Sphere Model for The Zoning method
on aircraft, it can be produced that the radius of the circle used is 7,861 m.
