Abstract :
Indonesia is one of the countries that has a fairly high level of rainfall and
always occurs in almost every area, so several dams were built. Monitoring the
water level in the dam is important for monitoring the water level. Not only that,
the delivery of information about the water level is also very minimal, so that if
the rainfall is high then the safety level of the sluice gate officers will also be
dangerous, this is because the sluice control system is still using the manual
method, so a monitoring system, floodgate automation, and warning is designed
application-based.
To monitor and monitor the water level in this study using the Blynk and
Email applications when the water level has exceeded the maximum and at low
tide. In the design of this prototype, research was carried out using 2 water
reservoirs using the NodeMCU component as the process of running the
prototype, then using 2 sluice gates with servo motor components to open the
floodgates, to display the water level through the 16x2 I2C LCD component and
display notifications using the Blynk application and E-mail.
The results showed the average percentage of water level errors from the
0 cm to 15 cm height experiment was 4,673 %, then for testing the difference in
notification delay of the Blynk application and Email, the Blynk application with a
delay of 0.9 s was faster to receive notifications than Email with long delay 1.7 s.
The results of the automatic sluice test when the water level is < 9 cm, i.e. sluice
gates 1 and 2 are closed 0°, when the water level is ? 9 cm up to a water level of
< 15 cm, the sluice 1 opens with a rotation of 90° and the sluice 2 closes. 0°, and
when the water level is ? 15 cm, the floodgates 1 and 2 open with a rotation of
90°. The results of the overall prototype testing went well.
