Abstract :
Rafting is an activity to wade through the river using a rubber boat that
relies on the power of rowing. The process of selecting white water rafting athletes
at FAJI DIY by recording the results of the physical test assessments of the
prospective athletes then the results will be added up to get the final score for each
athlete candidate. so that a system is needed to assist the committee in making the
selection so that the results are in accordance with the committee?s expectations.
The method used in the white-water rafting athlete selection system is the
ELECTRE and Profile Matching methods. This method determines the weight value
for the assessment factor until the best alternative is selected. and the use of the
method in this research is to weight each assessment factor in order to get the
expected results. The Profile Matching method is better in the case of the athlete
selection process at FAJI DIY compared to the ELECTRE method with an accuracy
rate of 66% for the Profile Matching method and 60% for the ELECTRE method.
The use of the Profile Matching method and the ELECTRE method can solve the
problems faced by the FAJI Team, namely the FAJI Team wants the athlete
selection process to use weighting on each of the assessment factors to get athletes
as expected.
