Abstract :
Airplane were one of the fastest growing forms of transportation in the technology sector. Frequently the aircraft operated, it would experience a decrease in performance over a long period of time. To kept aircraft safe and airworthy, maintenance must be carried out. During maintenance on the ATR 72-600 aircraft, an indication of damage to the flight control was found when the flap control. Therefore, troubleshooting is done to solve the problem. This study used a troubleshooting method that refers to TSM TASK 27-51-00. The troubleshooting process is carried out by checking the parts that might cause the loss of flap control. The parts to be checked are the flap position transmitter, flap block valve, flap actuator, and hydraulic line. The results showed that the damage occurred seal in the flap actuator which was malfunctioning due to damage and leak. So that replacement is done to solve the problem. After replacement, an operational test is peformed and the flap control returns to normal.
