Abstract :
The Boeing 737-800NG has limited flight capabilities. These limitations
are determined by the design specifications and operational specifications when
operating at the airport. The operational capability limits are influenced by
runway specifications, runway heights, runway obstacles and weather
meteorology which will affect the maximum aircraft operating limits.
The method used in determining the maximum Takeoff weight is drawing a
line on the Flight Planning and Performance Manual B737-800NG chart. The
research data used are primary data and secondary data such as airport
specification data, wind data, air temperature data and passenger movement data
using the Boeing 737-800NG Garuda Indonesia Airlines operating at Adi
Sumarmo International Airport, Surakarta.
The result shows that the Boeing 737-800NG aircraft experienced a
decrease in flight performance in takeoff weigh by structure and by performance.
The decrease in performance occurs due to wind conditions in a tail wind state
and high air temperature.
