Abstract :
Based on statistical data, the passenger numbers with the flight route from Berau to Banjarmasin is growing fast. This study aims to analyze the opening new direct flights from Kalimarau ? Syamsudin Noor with the ATR 72-600 aircraft that is intended to determine the growth of passenger traffic, flight planning, fuel requirements, and the capacity of the ATR 72-600 aircraft for a direct flight from Kalimaru ? Syamsudin Noor. The method used in this study was descriptive quantitative. The sampling technique used was Non-Probability Sampling with Accidental Sampling. From the results of the calculation of passenger traffic forecast from Berau - Banjarmasin using land and sea routes, it can be concluded that under normal conditions we traced 217 passengers / day are interested in the opening direct flight routes from Kalimarau - Syamsudin Noor, which is very possible for related parties to open daily direct flights considering ATR72-600 aircraft has 78 seats. As for the Covid-19 pandemic, it is not possible to open daily flights because there are only 61 passengers interested with the route from Kalimarau - Syamsudin Noor. However, this can be circumvented by opening the direct flight routes from Kalimarau - Syamsudin Noor at least every 2 days.
