Abstract :
Manned aviation first appeared in the late 1700s and a century after that the
aviation industry continued to grow until the creation of the unmanned aircraft
(PUNA) in 1916, unmanned aircraft were considered very efficient for carrying out
certain missions such as reconnaissance in the military because can carry payloads
and can be armed according to the UAV configuration.
The manufacturing process for the MICRO UAV WASP III BATMAV fuselage
itself is carried out using the hand lay-up method, the hand lay-up method is a simple
composite manufacturing method, this is because this method is easy to apply and the
equipment used is simple, this method has the advantage that the manufacturing
process is easy and does not require special equipment for the manufacturing process.
The manufacturing process with this method is to pour resin by hand into fibers
in the form of woven, knitted and others. Then apply pressure as well as flatten it using
a roller or brush. Until the desired thickness is achieved, although this method is the
simplest method, this method has drawbacks, such as a thickness that is difficult to
evenly distribute, especially on the molding surface which has many hollows such as
the MICRO UAV WASP III BATMAV Fuselage, the uneven distribution of resin.
evenly distributed, wasteful of resin, and prone to voids
The average percentage error between the molding pattern data and the
measurement data for the MICRO UAV WASP III BATMAV Fuselage product at
height was 1.68% while the error percentage for width was 1.84%, with a high
accuracy value of 98.32% and a width of 98.16%.
