Abstract :
Bladeless Wind Turbine is a new technology to capture wind energy, this turbine has
several advantages such as being able to be installed in various different locations
including in areas that are difficult to reach by conventional turbines, maintenance costs
are lower than conventional turbines because there are few moving parts and do not
use blades so there is no need to replace the turbine blades. Aerodynamic analysis
functions as a regulator of airflow due to the force generated or regulating the pattern
of air movement that occurs. To analyze the aerodynamics of the Bladeless Wind
Turbine, simulations can be carried out using software CFD. in the process of making
the design of the Bladeless Wind Turbine using software CFD geometry and continued
with the Mesh process of each variation of the Bladeless wind Turbine, after the design
process and Mesh are completed continued with the un-steady simulation process using
CFX With wind speeds that vary from 40 m / s to 60 m / s and get side force results
which also varies in every size of the Bladeless Wind Turbine design and every wind
speed, and also from the simulation results obtained the value of Reynold Number from
2,140,906.61 - 5,322,230.27.
