Abstract :
Structure Repair is an aircraft maintenance activity handling the
structure of an aircraft, which requires repair action. Structural repair is
something that is often handled in the aircraft maintenance industry. For
Repair of aircraft structures already included in the SRM (Structural Repair
Manual) published by the manufacture but the value of the strength of the
structure to hold the load is not explained in the SRM document. The purpose
of this study is to determine the Margin of Safety value of the fuselage skin
Repair doubler of Boeing 737-900ER aircraft. Modeling is performed using
SOLIDWORKS and ANSYS software based on material input property,
meshing and analysis structure. After analyzing using ANSYS software, the
software will display the results of the stress when applied tension loading, so
that the maximum stress obtained can be used to determine the Margin of
Safety value. The highest margin of safety value in the model without damage
occurred at an altitude of 6000 feet of 22.86, the highest margin of safety
value in the model when damaged occurred at an altitude of 6000 feet of 16.15
and the highest Margin of Safety value in the model after repair occurred at
an altitude of 6000 feet of 17.28.
