Abstract :
Electrical energy is one of the energies needed in all aspects. However, in
its use there is often a waste due to irregular, ineffective, and lack of consumer
awareness in using electronic devices. Therefore, a tool is needed that is able to
monitor the use of electricity in real time in order to reduce the cost of using
electricity on electronic devices.
From this issue, the authors designed an electrical energy monitoring
system that is able to monitor the use of electrical energy in real-time as well as the
Web-based database of MySQL servers. The Arduino Mega 2560 is used as a
microcontroller and the PZEM-004T is used as a sensor. Measured electrical
parameters include voltage, current, power, power factor, and energy.
Test results show that electrical parameters monitoring tools using the
PZEM-004T sensor can be measured and display voltage, current, power, power
factor, and energy values. As well as being able to monitor electricity usage in real time and stored in MySQL databases. Based on the test results can be concluded
that the design of the electrical parameter monitoring tool has a deviation value
(error %) voltage of 0.47%, current 1.17%, power 1.77%, power factor 0.08%, and
electricity consumption 0.73%.
