Abstract :
On the learning about knowing part of the plant needs learning innovation with new method and media in order to improve success in studying theory of natural science with sub-theme knowing the plant (root, trunk, leaf and flower) for student grade IV SDN Gelam Jaya II. This is because common method that used in this school still using text book method which is minimal illustration so the students are less active and get bored easily with the material described in the classroom. According to that problem, formed an animation to introduce part of the plant desktop based which is expected to support learning process. The research about this animation to introduce part of the plant processed by adobe photoshop, 3ds max, adobe premiere pro, and adobe flash professional CS6 software with Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) method that containing six steps, that is: concept (drafting), design (structuring), material collecting (collecting material), assembly (making), testing (hypothesis), and distribution (distributing). This testing about animation to introduce part of the plant containing functional test within black box method with feasibility test by teachers as validation process and verification about scoring criteria. The result from functional test by the expert obtain state that all function and button that is on animation to introduce part of the plant can run properly to its function. The result from feasibility test by teachers obtain average percentage score 89,33% included in the ""very well"" category. based on the results of functional test series with black box test method with feasibility test by the teachers then interactive multimedia method about animation to introduce part of the plant with multimedia development life cycle (MDLC) method is proper used in the learning natural science with sub-theme knowing the plants.
