Abstract :
Boeing 737 aircraft has flight capability characteristics that is determined by
design specifications and operational specifications. The Limitation of operational
capability to be the maximum limit when the aircraft is operated. The intended limitation
is that the aircraft will experience a takeoff performance change in the maximum weight
of the aircraft including maximum takeoff weight and load capacity. So that this research
is carried out on variables that affect flight performance, temperature effects and find out
whether airlines operating Boeing 737 exceeds limits that are affected by airport
conditions.
To determine the maximum take-off weight using the line drawing method in the Flight
Planning and Performance Manual chart (FPPM B737-300, B737-400, B737-800NG
and B737-900ER), it used data from research results in the form of secondary data such
as airport specification data, wind data, air temperature data and the passenger
movement data used Boeing 737 aircraft operating in Yogyakarta Adisutjipto Airport.
From the analysis, it was found that Boeing 737 experienced a decrease in flight
performance caused by several variables in the form of a short runway, high air
temperatures and wind conditions in a tail wind state. So by knowing the limitation, there
is no airline that exceeds the limits of Yogyakarta Adisutjipto Airport.
