Abstract :
Turn Around Time (TAT) planning become an important process in
maintenance planning, it helps us to predict how long the airraft would not be
operated. The smaller the value of TAT is better.
The process of determining the value of TAT begins by dividing the
manhours on every job/activity by available manpower to get the value of hours.
Generally, the value of hours multiplied by the same value of multiplier factor, 2,
before finally grouped based on the skill it's required. After that, the value of TAT
could be determined using Critical path method (CPM). The same value of
multiplier factor causing non consistent value of hours based on its work load as
presented in the value of manhours.
Linear Programming Method is used to find the new multiplier factors for
the value of manhours 0,1 to 3,0. The smaller value of manhours get bigger value
of multiplier factor while the bigger value of manhours get smaller value of
multiplier factor. The new value of multiplier factor would be used to determine
the new value of hours, and then by inserting the new value of hours to CPM
calculation, the new TAT would be found.
The customer submit the value of TAT of 13 calendar days, while in
planning using linear programming method and CPM get the value of TAT of 11
calendar days
