Abstract :
The selector valve nose wheel steering system is an important component on the CN-235 aircraft which functions as a driver or directs the nose aircraft landing gear when taxiing to the ground. Selector component maintenance process The valve experiences problems, namely the special tool used is not relevant causing the maintenance process to be long and inefficient. Objective This research was carried out to determine the obstacles to the maintenance process, special tool design, manufacturing special tool design and to carry out tests function of the special tool for the valve nose selector component. This research method is structured through several stages, namely design and analysis using CATIA software, manufacturing process using a CNC lathe and CNC milling machine and functional tests carried out in PT Dirgantara Indonesia MRO-C Department. In determining geometry special tool based on the results of measurements of the selector valve component port and load The maximum torque used is multiplied by a factor of safety of 1.5. Results from research using CATIA software simulation A margin of safety of 0.76 was obtained so that the special tool was declared safe. The special tool function test requires 1 (one) manpower and 30 minutes of time to carry out the maintenance process in the form of disassembly of selector components valves. So that the selector valve component maintenance process is faster and faster efficient compared to the old special tool.
