Abstract :
Security and safety in the world of aviation is very important. Aircraft
maintenance is absolutely necessary for aircraft operators. Tactics in maintenance
or maintenance such as implementing and increasing preventive maintenance
activities and increasing the ability to speed up repairs, Heizer in Daulay, et al,
(2013). This activity is very important to do in order to prevent engine failure,
especially in maintaining the safety of passengers and crew when flight activities
are carried out. So that the maintenance scheduled requires planning both
manpower, facilities, spare parts and tools. The planning process for the
procurement of replacement parts other than scheduled maintenance is a
scheduled component for part life limit or overhaul component.
This research is a field research which is done by collecting data regarding
the maintenance program on the ATR 42-500 aircraft No PKPAX Registration at
PT. Pelita Air Service through observation, interviews, and documentation. Then
the data is analyzed by the stages of Data Maintenance, Data Maintenance record
(Last done), and Performing Calculations
The results of this study indicate that: The planning of implementation
scheduled maintenance on the ATR 42-500 aircraft already has a plan, that is,
once a year which has been arranged regularly and sequentially. From the
Maintenance record and its implementation, it has been in accordance with the
planning that has been made. The difference in planning between the author and
PT Pelita Air Service can be caused by several factors, including the use of flight
hours and cycles that are different from the estimates.
