Abstract :
The Tecnam P2008 aircraft is categorized as a lightweight Sports aircraft
using the Rotax Series Engine used by Jogja Flying Club (JFC) as a hobby,
exercise, and tourism aircraft. In its use, the Spark Plug component of the aircraft
is a component that has the highest damage intensity. There is still a lack of
performance analysis of the Spark Plug component that allows increasing
component failure rates. Then we need research and evaluation of the level of
reliability on the Spark Plug and also the type of failure rate along with the failure
rate of the Spark Plug component. Likewise with the level of reliability of these
components along with the effectiveness of care. Inventory on components is needed
so that when needed, components can be replaced immediately, so inventory
analysis is needed for the Spark Plug component along with scheduling component
replacement.
The method used is in the form of Weibull Distribution method and Mean
Time Between Removal (MTBR). Weibull distribution is a distribution that has an
important role especially in the issue of reliability. Measurement of reliability or
reliability is done on the basis of statistics. Reliability is very useful for airlines
owner companies and for companies that provide aircraft maintenance services as
a reference to determine the policies that will be taken for the company. Whereas
MTBR is a method of calculating planning schedule for replacement and supply of
components. This calculation is based on the historical average value of component
release age and the average utilization of aircraft flight hours.
From the Weibull analysis performed, the average spark plug component
will function until failure at the age of 89 hours 59 minutes. And from the
calculation of the Mean Time Between Removal (MTBR), the number of
components needed for inventory is 51 pcs. And scheduling the replacement of
spark plug components on P2008-style aircraft based on estimates, which is every
57 days from the last schedule of component replacement
