Abstract :
Maluku Province is an archipelago with a large part of the territory
dominated by the sea, this causes limited passenger travel between regions. Along
with economic and population growth has resulted in increased demand for air
transportation as the most effective means of transportation. To anticipate the
increase in demand, an analysis is needed to find out how much the trip
distribution is produced, and how the predictions for trip distribution in the future
will be, so that the facilities and infrastructure can be prepared.
The data used in this study are secondary data, such as domesitic
passenger movement data and accessibility information in the form of ticket
prices for each flight route. Passenger movement data are analyzed by the Least
Squere Error trend method to obtain future trip generation. This trip generation
results are then processed using Unconstrained Gravity Model (UCGR) and
Double Constraints Gravity Model and calculation of matrix suitability using the
Root Mean Squere Error (RMSE) method.
From the results of this study it was concluded that the DCGR model
with the accessibility function using squere method is the best model because it
has the smallest RMSE test results, with RMSE = 3.971.71292 and% RMSE =
39.25509%. From the calculation of the trend and the distribution of movement
using the DCGR model with the accessibility function using squere method, it was
found that the total movement of domestic airplane passengers in Maluku
Province in 2022 was 286,285 people.
