Abstract :
The service life of an aircraft includes the entire life of components, systems and
aircraft structure during the flight operational cycle. Within its useful life
operation of an aircraft, a decrease in aircraft structural performance occurs as a result
accumulation of damage caused by environmental factors, fatigue
structure / fatigue, and accident / accident damage. The phenomenon of structural damage becomes
special attention in aircraft maintenance management, so methods are needed
corrective measures to determine the relationship between aircraft service life and damage
structure during flight operations, and can estimate how much
The trend of damage that occurs is related to the aircraft's lifespan.
In analyzing trends in aircraft structural damage, there are three stages, namely
determining related attributes, validating data using related attributes, as well as processing and
data analysis. Analyze trends in aircraft structural damage using "data analysis" in
Ms.Excel 2007 software with parameters of one independent variable "X" (predictor) and one
dependent variable "Y" (response), namely flying hours (total hours) or flying cycles (total cycle)
as an independent variable and one dependent variable, namely the amount of damage (total damage).
The research results show that there is an interactive relationship between number
structural damage (total damage) with aircraft service life (total hours / total cycle), namely
there was an increase in the number of structural damages due to the influence of increasing flying hours
for each aircraft sub series, and conversely there is a decrease in the number of structural damage
due to the influence of increasing flight cycles for each aircraft sub series.
