Abstract :
When the fluid flow meets a solid structure, then the structure will gets
pressure which can cause changes shape of the structure. Fluid flow can damage
physical structures, depending on the pressure and flow velocity and the character
of the material structure. One example is fluid flow on an aircraft wing. The shape
of the wing can change depending on the wing material, wing type and fluid flow.
Wing type with a long and thin shape or has a high aspect ratio value, it is easy to
change shape when it gets fluid flow. Thus, the choice of material for wings can be
one aspect that determines how the structure responds when exposed to fluid flow.
UAV MALE STTA X-1 is one wing that has a high enough aspect ratio of 7.4 for
UAV aircraft types. This simulation is carried out to purpose to see the response of
wing structure when subjected to fluid flow.
Fluid simulation is done by modeling the CATIA and analyzing the
interaction of structural fluids using ANSYS software. The input speed of the fluid
analysis is 9.02 m / s.
For the structural analysis results, a deformation of 3.4414 mm from its
original position and a maximum total stress equivalent of 11,069 MPa occurred
in the stringer at the root of the UAV
