Abstract :
Analysis of Air Conditioning Cooling Load at Railway Coach Eksekutif
Siang with 50 passengers (K.A. Argo Lawu)" has been carried out in Yogyakarta,
Latitude -7.797068 and Longitude 110.370529. The purpose of this study was to
carry out a calculation of the cooling load on the Argo Lawu Train passenger car
with 50 passengers. The calculation results can be used to determine the cooling
capacity needed and the air conditioning system used.
This research was conducted by CLTD (Cooling Load Temperature
Difference) method. The parameters observed were the wall, roof, floor, glass,
lights, electronic equipment and passengers. The results of this study indicated
that the cooling load of Argo Lawu train car was dominated by sensible heat load
with value of 35827.84 BTU/hr. Meanwhile the latent heat is 19157.67 BTU/hr, so
the total cooling load is 54985.51 BTU/hr. This cooling load was compared to the
research finding in 2017 and it had good compatibility with 2,5% difference
