Abstract :
This study aims to recalculate the cooling load at the Tanjung Api Ampana Airport Terminal in Central Sulawesi which is expected to provide guidance regarding the air conditioning system. The study was conducted in the main room of the terminal located on the upper and lower floors. Cooling load calculation was done by CLTD (Cooling Load Temperature Difference) method based on the ASHRAE Handbook of Fundamentals and used primary data in each room which included heat loads from outside and from inside. The results obtained from the theoretical study were the total maximum cooling load of the entire room at the peak position was 683606.16 Btu/hour or equivalent to 77 PK. While the installed capacity of the air conditioner is 270000 Btu/hour or equivalent to 30 PK, and obtained a large enough difference caused by the installation of air conditioning machines that do not pay attention to the factors increasing the cooling load both inside and outside so the result does not achieve the desired optimum temperature.
