Abstract :
Parallel Processing is a process that uses more than one processor to do a
task. Data synchronization is a process to equalize data and time so that data
differences do not occur, data synchronization in the database can be aimed at
database security systems. The use of parallel processing for data synchronization
systems is expected to shorten the synchronization process. This system runs on
the Linux and Windows operating systems in the form of services that do not have
a database server. The way this system works is to compare the database
application with the database server, if there is a change in the data in the
application database it will return the data as before. This test is carried out by
using two different networks, namely peer to peer network and LAN with 10 data
changes, 20 data, 30 data, 100 data, 500 data, 1000 data, 1500 data, 1750 data,
2000 data and 3000 data with data amount of 65517 data. The results of the
average synchronization time on peer to peer networks were 17,956 seconds on
computer 1 and 20,355 seconds on computers 2. The results of the average time of
data synchronization on LAN networks were 14,224 seconds on computer 1 and
22,669 seconds on computers 2. Factor that influence differences this time is the
amount of data tested, the use of different computer devices and bandwidth
provided by the provider.
