Abstract :
Anticollision Light on the Boeing 737 Next Generation is a component on
the aircraft that serves to provide a warning in the form of flashes that make the
aircraft's presence known to people. However, anticollision light can be damaged
which can cause damage to the aircraft's lighting system. One problem that occurs
is the light does not go off that occurs on the switch in the P5 forward overhead
panel.
The method used to overcome light damage does not go off on
anticollision light is a detailed analysis and testing using FIM and AMM. Then the
troubleshoot steps are carried out on the anticollision light.
The occurrence of light does not go off can be overcome by replacing the
switch on the exterior lighting panel. Then the test was carried out again and the
result was that the anticollision light had no damage and returned to normal.
