Abstract :
Currently the use of unmanned aircraft for monitoring is increasingly being
used. The remote on the UAV uses radio signals and the range of the remote control
transmitter antenna which is not for enough often causes the UAV to fall. To overcome
this problem, in this final project is designed a yagi 4 elements biquad antenna to
increase the distance range beyond the range of the stick antenna whose sold in the
market.
The yagi 4 elements biquad antenna is designed according to the ARRL book
guide by combining the biquad as an element of drive (driven element), then the
reflective element (reflector) and the director element (director) use by the yagi-uda
design. This antenna is operated at a frecuency of 455MHz.
The results show that the yagi 4 elements biquad antenna can work better in
increasing the range of the stick antenna whose sold in the market. The range of
distance is produced by the stick antenna until lost is at a distance of 369m, while the
distance produced by the yagi 4 elements biquad antenna can reach 600m. It means
there is increasing in distance about 62%.
