Abstract :
An OFDM communication system can be observed based on the number of
error bits of data sent using the SER parameter. This study aims to observe
OFDM performance using 16-QAM, 64-QAM, and 256-QAM modulation.
To observe OFDM performance can be done using a simulation model in
this study OFDM system model simulated with GNU OCTAVE software. System
performance observed for each 16-QAM, 64-QAM and 256-QAM modulation
based on the simulation results SER will be compared with the theory to
determine the error rate.

64-QAM is 0.66%, and for 256-QAM is 0.15%
