Abstract :
Sense of vision is a vital source of information for humans. People with partial color
blind disabilities always have difficulty in distinguishing colors in their daily lives, so they need
tools for them. In this research, a tool that can function to distinguish primary colors is created.
This research is a color detection device using the color sensor TCS3200 and Arduino Nano.
The system consists of hardware and software. The hardware consists of Arduino Nano,
color sensor TCS3200, Arduino Nano software in this study using the Arduino IDE Software.
The color sensor TCS3200 has I / O PORT SDA and SCL which function to interface to the
Arduino IDE. How to use a color detector for partial color blind people is to attach material
(color fabric) to the color sensor TCS3200. To activate the sensor it is necessary to capture
data for each color object that is brought near. he color object will appear in the right position
when capturing color data. Arduino IDE to process input that has been taken. After the process
is complete, the color sensor will output sound.
Fabric color detection devices are tested at different times, namely during the day and
at night. The test results show that the RGB light intensity data is not consistent because the
light is different, so the frequency is also different.
